Happy Musik
Celebrating young classical musicians through free, live performances.

Our Mission

Close-up of a cello

Happy Musik celebrates the arts by helping young musicians share their classical music through free, live performances in the community.

We create welcoming opportunities for students ages 8–18 to grow as artists, connect with audiences, and bring joy through acoustic music. Our performers are elementary, middle, and high school students who play:

  • Woodwind instruments
  • Violin and viola
  • Cello and bass
  • Piano

Performances feature classical repertoire—sometimes solo, and sometimes in duets, trios, or quartets. Each event is friendly, informal, and accessible, giving young artists a chance to build confidence while enriching the lives of the people who listen.

The program opened with “Méditation” from Thaïs, the famous 1894 operatic interlude by French composer Jules Massenet, performed on violin with lyrical warmth. The concert also included expressive Erhu selections and concluded with a special highlight: a complete performance of Bach’s First Cello Suite. Together, the blend of Western strings and traditional Erhu created a rich and memorable musical experience for the audience.
